The rumors are true. Skybark is invading New York for year two. Lock in the date and clear your calendar. Skybark is proud to announce that we will be kicking off the unforgettable festivities surrounding the 2010 Westminster Dog Show on Friday, February 12, 2010 at the Hotel Pennsylvania’s Penn Top Ballroom. Sister to Skybark, Bark Bar will be held the 13-15th in the ballroom above the lobby, Gold Ballroom. Skybark and Bark Bar will be rolling out the red carpet for you and your doggy companions.

The original potty suppliers, PETaPOTTY, will fulfill the potty needs of all the pooches that enter the Hotel Pennsylvania’s Bio-Break facility during the Westminster events. This year’s pet services and festivities at the Hotel Pennsylvania will be unprecedented. Located adjacent to Madison Square Garden, the prestigious Hotel Pennsylvania is a New York City institution that personifies the city’s style, essence and history. It’s tradition for the Hotel Penn to act as a media and social hub for Westminster. No matter where the exhibitors and spectators stay, they converge at the Penn for everything dog related. This will be one of the biggest Skybark events to date and plan to set the record for the most dogs in a Bar.

Skybark will transform the Penn Top Ballroom into the “place to be” for anyone looking to bring their pets, cut loose, and have a great time before the Westminster Dog Show commences. If you’ve seen the Amazing Jilli Dog at a live appearance, or on TV (Animal Planet, Disney TV, Regis, Rachael), then you know what to expect! If you haven’t, then you’re in for a treat! This 5-lb Yorkie is one of the top trick trained dog performers in America! The glamorous ballroom meets the high standards of Skybark and features immaculate views that look upon the Empire State Building and the marquis of Madison Square Garden. Last years Skybark Pre-Westminster Fashion show Golden Paws Award was the place to be Friday night in NYC! Who’s who in the dog community were there to network a parade of “well behave owners” and “fashionable dogs” filled the Red Carpet reception area, were celebrities such as “CELEBRYPUPS” Bocker, Eli, Tito, Andrew, Jilli and Elvis posed with Dr. Ruth…whom after spending a long day giving speeches at universities came to support her good friend Dr. Dave and Elvis. Ada Nieves “Moulin Rouge” Fashion Show was part of the entertainment… Our Master of ceremonies was Maria Milito (Q104.3 fm) a list of models include guests from the shows: The greatest American Dog (CBS) Andrew & Elvis From Underdog to Wonder dog; Andrea Arden & Ali Mclean Groomer has It Jonathan David, Jorge Bendersky faithful friends (Animal Planet) Kathleen Sepulveda, The newly formed group; Celebripups – Eli, Tito, Jilli, Andrew, Bocker, Vanilla, Elvis The NJ Dog Whisperer, Janice Wolfe Philanthropist; Erika Searl with her fur kids Ginger and Cubby, the event was produced by Brandon Hochman of PETaPOTTY with a list of sponsors like Doggie Aficionado magazine, Fido Friendly magazine, The NY Blue Book, les Pooch, and many more.

This year we have extended to a four day Bark Bar vendor show of “hand picked” vendors showcasing the latest must have gear and products for living with pet’s in mind. Skybark and Bark Bar are open to the public and based on our past events, it’s sure to garner plenty of media attention. In addition, Skybark will also feature the hottest new designs in pet fashion by presenting to you a fashion show and Awards. Skybark hopes that this event will help to raise money and awareness for incredible organization, North Shore Animal Rescue League.
